Hey God, whose side are you on?

In Joshua 5 we find Joshua preparing to lead the Israelites to conquer Jericho. At one point Joshua lifts up his eyes and sees a man with his drawn sword in his hand and wonders what any of us might wonder, "whose side are you on?" The man's answer though might be a little confusing considering the fact that Joshua goes on to lead the Israelites in a miraculous defeat of Jericho. His answer is simply "No" just "No". The explanation of his "No" comes when he reveals his identity to Joshua as the commander of the army of the LORD. He was there representing the very heart of heaven and more specifically of our heavenly Father. He is FOR the whole world. It doesn't mean that he agrees with everything man does, it simply means he wants what is best for each individual person. This is Jesus. He became a man to fight alongside and secure the eternal victory for every man. In Revelation 19 we see him described as Faithful and True, the Word of God leading the armies of heaven on a white horse. Jesus came to bring the message that God is for us. He will return to show us God is For us. He is FOR both democrats and republicans, mask wearers and non-mask wearers, every color of skin, every gender, every country, every age. He is FOR us. He is FOR your neighbor. He is FOR you.
